I'd give this place 4 stars mainly based on their tea & scones and the cozy ambience.
We ordered a panini, ham & cheese omelette and bacon & cheese pocket potato for lunch, then the tea set with scones. Everything was solid, though I must say that the highlight was their scones and (homemade?) butter. Best scone I've ever had, and it went very well with the tea that was served. I would definitely recommend the place for an afternoon tea.
The ambience was nice as well. Set in a cozy little homelike interior, I felt as if I was invited to a private home for a very British experience.
The one complaint I had was the service. Granted, they were understaffed and it got rather crowded, but nonetheless, I feel like the staff could have been friendlier and more helpful. -

The pancake is absolutely rabish. (Lamon n sugar*) the scone n tea is standard, price is ok. Atmosphere is a bit old. Average age is 60+. Very traditional. Gonna save leftover pancake for duck

A really nice little tea shop with friendly staff. Fairly quiet despite being busy. Good prices, helpful staff and really clean. Also has toilet facilities to the rear. Beautiful view of the River Windrush from the window.
